Tips for arranging your next Exhibition Stand at the NEC, Birmingham

3 Tips For Arranging Your Next NEC Exhibition (1)Although Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions are likely to stay in place for the foreseeable, industries are up and ready to go and the events industry is no exception. Although things might be a little different from previous exhibitions, that doesn’t mean you can’t take part and be successful. Our biggest tip for arranging any sort of exhibition or even in 2021 is to be super organised and plan well in advance, for all eventualities. Here at Dreams Agency, we’d love to help with all elements of your exhibition planning so please do not hesitate to get in touch and chat through your next steps. In the meantime, here are some tips that could help.

Think Outside of the Box

One thing we have learned over the last year is that nothing is guaranteed. We know there is a roadmap announced by the Government to hopefully lead the UK out of any restrictions, but that doesn’t mean that we can guarantee that. Make sure you give some consideration to contingency plans and what you can change if you need to. Make sure you read any contracts you sign to understand what happens to you in the event that the NEC is no longer able to let the event go ahead.

Make the Most of Technology

All being well and the event going ahead, be super organised and make sure you have everything in place to ensure the smooth running. Consider what technology you can make the most of – especially taking into account social distancing and safety guidelines. Capturing customer’s details is more important than ever and they’ll be keen to interact with you especially after a year of Zoom calls and virtual meetings

Exhibition Insurance

Last but most definitely not least, think about what event insurance you need. We know that events can be cancelled last minute at any time but over the last 12 months, this has become more common. Make sure that you have an insurance policy that specifically covers you for Covid-19 related costs, cancellations and changes because many policies do not and you don’t want to leave yourself unprotected.

Hiring the right staff!

Finally, and very important, make sure you have the best exhibition staff with you. A lot of companies will take their own employed staff and normally they are not comfortable or experienced in approaching the public. Plus a few days out of the office means possible missed sales and extra expenses for taking them with you.

Hiring experienced promotional personnel saves you money, time and gives you a better return on your investment.
